Since 2005, Paride Bollettin collaborates with the Mebengokré Xikrin people in the Brazilian Amazon and, in more recent years, also with the Tupi-Guaraní in São Paulo State and fishing communities in Bahia State. After obtaining the PhD in Anthropology at the University of Siena in Italy in 2011, he has worked as a researcher and as a teacher in various universities in Europe, South America and Africa. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Anthropology, Masaryk University, Czech Republic, Honorary professor at the Graduate Program in Social Sciences, State University of São Paulo, Brazil, and Scientific Director of the Ethnographic Collection of the Centro Studi Americanistici, Italy.
