Results of the SALSA 2020 Elections for the Board of Directors

The Society for the Anthropology of Lowland South America (SALSA) held elections in April and May of 2020.

Pirjo Kristiina Virtanen (head of Indigenous Studies program at the University of Helsinki, Finland) and Maria Antonieta Guzmán–Gallegos (Associate Professor, VID Specialized University- Oslo, Norway) were elected to the Board of Directors (July 1, 2020-June 30, 2023).

Laura Graham (Professor of Anthropology, University of Iowa, USA) is SALSA’s new President-Elect (July 1, 2020-June 30, 2023), to serve as President in 2023-2027.
