The June issue of National Geographic included a feature story by Emma Marris on the human history and conservation status of Manu National Park, Peru. SALSA member Glenn Shepard guided Marris during the expedition to Manu, and the article was informed by his 30 years of scientific and applied research among the Matsigenka and other local indigenous peoples. The magazine story includes photography by Charlie Hamilton James.
