
The SALSA Board of Directors is composed by: three main officers, elected by majority vote of the Members; six members-at-large also elected by majority vote; and three non voting ex-officio Members: the immediate past President, the Editor of the Journal Tipití, and the current Organizer of the Society conference. Officers and Members-at-Large of the Board of Directors shall be eligible for re-election once.
The President, President-Elect, and Secretary-Treasurer shall be voting members of the Board of Directors and shall each be elected for a term of four years or until their successors are elected, whichever period is longer.
Each Member-at-Large shall hold office for a term of three years or until their successor is elected, whichever period is longer. Members-at-Large are eligible for re-election once.
The immediate past President, the Editor of the Journal, and the current Organizer of the Society conference, shall be non-voting, ex-officio members of the Board of Directors.
