Deadline extended for panel/workshop proposals to November 23

31 October 2020

Good news!  We’ve decided to extend the deadline for thematic panel and workshop proposals to Monday, November 23rd.  There’s a lot going on in the world right now that is impacting all of our lives in complex ways, and we recognize that. Still, we remain committed to creating an inclusive and dynamic conference for 2021, and hope that this extra time might allow more of you to pull together those proposals you’ve been thinking about! The online format for SALSA 2021 is full of creative possibilities and potential for new kinds of collaboration across the geopolitical, socioeconomic, and linguistic barriers that often limit the kinds of knowledge production and distribution that happen at conventional in-person conferences. I encourage you all to consider how you might make the most of these possibilities, and help take SALSA conferencing in this new direction.
If you have any questions, ideas, or concerns that you’d like to discuss, please don’t hesitate to email me ([email protected]).  If you have an idea but wonder where it would best fit into the program – let’s talk about it!
